起源
19世紀頃の競馬に由来するとされる。勝利が確実なときに騎手が手綱を緩める（手を下ろす）様子から、簡単に勝つ意味に拡張された。
注釈
口語的でカジュアル。肯定的・やや誇張して簡単さを示す。フォーマルな文書では避けることが多い。
