起源
足を踏みしめて相手を制する動作（踏ん張る、踏み鳴らす）から「断固たる態度を示す」という比喩表現として定着した。
注釈
強い・断固とした語感で、権威や境界線を示す含み。日常〜ビジネスで可。相手を押さえつける印象もあるため、言い方次第で高圧的に聞こえる。
