起源
ダムや運河の「水門」を開けると水が一気に流れ出すことから、比喩的に「大量に噴き出す／一気に広がる」を表すようになった。
注釈
比喩表現。多くは「（悪影響の）連鎖を招く」や「感情が一気にあふれる」の文脈で使う。やや драмatic で、堅めの文（法律・政策）にも口語にも可。
