be on the same wavelength

To think similarly and understand each other easily; to be in sync mentally.

From radio/physics: being tuned to the same wavelength lets signals come through clearly. Metaphorically, people “tuned” alike communicate smoothly.

Suggests easy mutual understanding and shared thinking. Common in casual conversation and teamwork contexts; friendly tone.
